Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report on Friday, April 12, saying sensors in the car could fail to notice a change in the battery's power. If the power drops too low, the vehicle could turn off or lose important components such as hazard lights if the car breaks down. The Broncos were produced from February 2020 until March 2024. BMW's Self-Closing Door Severed Area Man’s Thumb, Lawsuit Says
A systems engineer from the tristate area is suing BMW for $13.5 million after he said the self-closing door of his car severed his right thumb. Godwin Boateng of Valley Stream on Long Island said the $70,000 BMW SUV does not have a sensor to detect whether there's a body part or an object in the path of the door. The 62-year-old's attorney, Avi Cohen, described the BMW X5’s door as nothing short of “a guillotine," according to this New York Post report. According to a federal lawsuit, Boateng was standing outside the X5 in July 2016 when he placed his hand on the driver’s door column…

There have been two crashes and one injury because of the issue. The recall applies to every version of the Fusion: Fusion…
