Paterson PD: Four Dealers, 11 Buyers Busted, Heroin, Crack, Loaded Gun Seized
Paterson police arrested a quartet of dealers and nearly a dozen buyers, most from out of town, while seizing hundreds of heroin folds, crack and an illegal handgun, authorities said.
A street operation by the Narcotics Division on Summer Street between Broadway and Hamilton Avenue ended with Tuesday’s raid on a local home, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.

A 15-year-old Paterson boy was caught carrying two handguns with large-capacity magazines, authorities said.
The teen at first tried to avoid Officer Jensin Burgos when he pulled up to the corner of 12thAvenue and East 24thStreet, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
When Burgos got out, the boy bolted through an alleyway, discarding a black bag he was carrying, Speziale said.
A gun fell out, he said.
Burgos nabbed the teen and recovered the bag, which had another weapon inside, the director said.

One Dead, Another Injured In Paterson Street Shooting
One man was killed and another was injured in a Monday night Paterson street shooting, authorities confirmed.
Dashon Mayfield, 30, was struck several times near the corner of 12th Avenue and East 22nd Street just after 10:30 p.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald said in a joint announcement.
He was pronounced dead soon after at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, they said.
A second victim, Tymir Leary, also 30, showed up at St. Joe's with what responders said were gunshot wounds in his leg.
