Eva Prince, 89, Of Totowa
TOTOWA, N.J. – Eva Prince, a resident of Totowa, died Thursday, June 30. She was 89.
Born April 209, 1927, in Garfield, she lived there for 30 years, before moving to Totowa 59 years ago. She was a service adviser with Verizon in Clifton for many years retiring in 1992. She also was a parishioner of St. James RC Church in Totowa.
She is survived by her siblings Catherine Gertz, Marie Pegram and Joseph Gelsino; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas; and parents, Giuseppe and Josephine.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Katherine O. Mowris, a longtime area resident of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, June 30. She was 90.
Born May 26,1926, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude Baker Winchell.
She worked at the former Hudson River State Hospital in Poughkeepsie until her retirement. A very loving person, she enjoyed taking care of those close to her.
On Dec. 22, 1944 in Pine Plains, she married Eugene Mowris.

FISHKILL, N.Y. – Stephen Tyler DiRubba, a lifelong area resident of Fishkill, died Tuesday, June 28. He was 26.
Born March 25, 1990, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Stephen B. and Wendy DiRubba.
He was a graduate of John Jay High School. He was a charming, funny, yet tortured soul, battling against an addiction he was unable to defeat. He enjoyed playing tennis, trained and received his black belt in karate and loved playing World of Warcraft. Like his family, he was an animal lover and adored all of their pets.

NYACK, N.Y. – Thomas W. Young Sr., a resident of Nyack, died Tuesday, June 28. He was 66.
He was born Oct.10, 1949, in Stoneham, Mass. He lived in New York City and was the original owner of T. Young’s Paving.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Young and his wife Victoria; sister Vashti Dow and her husband Richard; ex-wife Doris Young; three sons, William H. Young and his wife Rhonda, Joshua J. She was born May 6,1924, in Chicago.
Interment was at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State St., Spring Valley.

RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Laima Celmins, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Saturday, June 25. She was 77.
She was born March 19, 1939 in Riga, Latvia.
In 1944 her family escaped war-torn Latvia and resided in displaced camps in Germany until 1947. In 1947, they came to New York City, where she later attended The Bronx High School of Science. After briefly residing in Rosendale, she moved to Lagrange, NY (1965-76), briefly to Rosendale, and then to Kingston (1976-2010).

Born May 10, 1958, she was the daughter of Man Jan and Doris Eng.
