New Jersey State Police detectives found another man in the middle of a possible drug overdose when they rushed the home of John N. Norton, 33, moments after they said he delivered meth and liquid GHB in a plastic bottle to someone outside the house Monday night.
Two weeks ago, Norton was arrested in Hunterdon County on charges of methamphetamine possession after police said they stopped him for driving erratically on Route 202.
Norton on Sunday resigned as vice-principal of an elementary school in Franklin Township, where he was living, after three semesters, State Police said. This came on the heels of the Nov. 29 traffic stop.
NJSP detectives reported seizing more than four ounces of crystal meth and 36 ounces of GHB, both valued at $15,000, as well as drug paraphernalia and $4,000 in cash.
Norton was being held on $100,000 bail in the Somerset County Jail, charged with drug possession with the intent to distribute.
