Emil Savia, 37-year-old Sayreville resident died on Saturday, Jan. 13, according to his obituary. A Hoboken restaurant is mourning the loss of one of its former bartenders who died on what loved ones say was a "dream trip" in Chile. Brian Kilduff, 27, of West Haverstraw, NY, died on Friday, Dec. 29, after becoming ill while in Chile, according to his obituary on the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home website. Brian enjoyed bartending in Hoboken, his obituary reads, and his former employer, Onieals Restaurant, penned a tribute to him on Facebook. Gun Seizures Surge At NYC Airports
Screeners at New York City airports caught travelers with an average of a gun a week last year, the TSA reported. The 51 handguns seized by Transportation Security Administration officers last year were 30% more than the 39 in 2022, the agency said on Wednesday, Jan. 10. "Each of the firearms were discovered by TSA officers during the routine screening of carry-on property at airport security checkpoints," TSA Spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said. Kayla Clayton, a New Jersey native who relocated to the Washington DC area, died on Oct. 10 at 31 years old. A cause of death was not listed, however, her obituary on the Lawson Funeral Home website notes that Kayla "fought a good fight." Kayla Felice Clayton, who was raised in Long Branch where she was a high school cheerleader, went on to attend Virginia State University, where she graduated with her bachelor's in psychology, according to her LinkedIn profile. A New Jersey man was being held in the United Kingdom after climbing into the Royal Mews, located inside of Buckingham Palace, according to authorities and The Telegraph via MSN. Metropolitan police said only that a man identified as 25-year-old Awad Mustafa entered the Royal Mews, which holds royal carriages and a historic working stable, after scaling a wall nearby around 1:25 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. The July Fourth weekend started off at Newark Airport's TSA security checkpoints with what wasn't exactly a bang but still drew a lot of attention.
