Meteor Strikes NJ House A metallic object believed to be a meteorite struck the roof of a home in Mercer County, authorities said. The ranch-style home was occupied at the time on Old Washington Crossing - Pennington Road in Hopewell Township, police said. No one was hurt. The oblong objected measured 4 inches by 6 inches, police said. It penetrated the rood and the ceiling before impacting the hardwood floor, police said. Police were contacting other agencies for confirmation on the meteor. It may be related to the current meteor shower called the Eta Aquarids, they said.

Andrea Merrick, manager of the Hopewell Branch, said the book, "Back to Basics," was dropped off with a box of donations at the circulation desk. The book — by the Editors of Flying Magazine — (copyright 1977) goes over the concepts and basics of flying a plane. The library's maintenance person, Rocco Genovesi, later looked through the box to see if there were any wet or moldy books that would need to be discarded and came across one that looked like a library book.…

Harold Rosario and the other victim were found near GT Bar and Lounge after being struck by gunfire at 602 Federal St., around 10:40 p.m., the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
