She Thought She Wouldn't Win: North Jersey, Meet Your Favorite Fit Cop The readers have spoken and the results are in.  Congratulations to Wayne Police Officer Christie Ohlendorf, who was voted North Jersey's favorite "Fit Cop" in the Daily Voice competition. Ohlendorf, a CrossFit athlete -- was certain she wouldn't win but earned 27 percent of votes (out of the 10 total law enforcement officers). Paramus Deputy Chief Robert Guidetti took second place with 23 percent of votes.  Third place was a tie between Bergenfield PO Ahmed Alagha and Wood-Ridge PO Timothy Janz with 10 percent of votes each. The Ridgefield police officer is going for function. “If I have to get out of the car and chase someone or help another officer, it doesn’t matter that I can put up 400 pounds,” he said. “I have to be in the best shape I can be in.” It’s more difficult for Nebbia to spend a day on the couch than to get up and move. Ridgefield Police Officer Takes In Pit Bull Grieving Owner A local Pit Bull whose owner recently died has found a new home with a Ridgefield police officer. Kevin Nebbia of Cliffside Park met Spanky while working. He and others in his department had been responding to calls in the dog's neighborhood over the past year. When Nebbia, 40, returned from vacation in January, he learned that Spanky's owner had passed away, and the dog was at the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro.
