Stuck Truck Blocks NW Bergen Road A struck delivery truck blocked a northwest Bergen County artery for more than an hour. The driver had been turning into a Ho-Ho-Kus resident's driveway on East Saddle River Road near Fox Run when the mishap occurred on Saturday, May 14. The driver and his helpers weren't injured. A heavy-duty wrecker from City Wide Towing removed the vehicle while borough police detoured traffic at either end. No damage was reported to either the truck, driveway, or street. Boyd A. SEE: Jitney Bus Plows Into Paterson Apartment UPDATE: Firefighters reported only minor injuries after a jitney collided with an SUV and slammed into a ground-floor apartment in Paterson overnight. City Wide Towing removed the bus on a flatbed after it knocked a fire hydrant off its base and crashed into the three-story building at the corner of Pearl and Summer streets around 2 a.m. Saturday. Sedan Crashes At Wyckoff Bank Drive-Through A Wyckoff driver escaped serious injury Friday when his sedan hit a curb and landed on its side at a local bank drive-thru, authorities said. The 2016 BMW 535i also hit the Chase Bank building on Cedar Hill Avenue before pitching onto the driver’s side, Police Chief David Murphy said. The 67-year-old driver refused medical attention for a cut on his face, the chief said. Police and firefighters responded, along with City Wide Towing, which removed the vehicle, he said. Flatbed Mounts Divider, Concrete Goes Flying In Collision With Garbage Truck In Fair Lawn The cab of a flatbed tower mounted a concrete divider after colliding with a garbage truck Thursday morning in Fair Lawn. The driver for City-Wide Towing of Hawthorne said he was headed west on Broadway just past the Route 4/208 split when a car cut him off, pushing his rig into the back of garbage truck owned by Interstate Waste Services of Teaneck shortly after 10:15 a.m. The tow truck got hooked onto the garbage truck’s rear push bar and was turned sideways before it slammed into the median, sending concrete flying, Sgt.
