Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Newport Mall Announces Thanksgiving, Black Friday Hours The Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City will be open Thanksgiving night and will reopen early the next day, Black Friday, a spokeswoman for the mall's owner, Simon, said Monday.  The mall will open Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m. and it will remain open until 1 a.m. The mall reopens that day, Black Friday, at 6 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m.   Newport Centre has more than 130 shops, restaurants and other stores, as well as a movie theater. The mall is located at 30 Mall Drive.

Bayonne Resident Stole Day Care Center's Van, Police Say A 37-year-old Bayonne man was arrested Friday and charged with stealing a van early this month, police said.  The van, which belongs to the Bayonne Adult Medical Day Care Center on Broadway, was unlocked and running outside the facility Nov. 5. Person Found In Hudson River Identified As Newark Resident Authorities in Hudson County have identified the person found floating in the Hudson River early this month as a 21-year-old Newark resident, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday.  The remains of Delali Amenyedo were discovered Nov. 5 at a marina in Jersey City. Authorities had asked for the public's help identifying the person.  The cause and manner of death were still under investigation Friday, the prosecutor's office also said.

Newark Man Again Charged With Selling Alcohol Illegally The operator of a restaurant in Newark's Ironbound has been charged with illegally selling alcohol, police said.  Silvestre B. Penas, 61, was charged following complaints about Caldas restaurant at 293 Wilson Ave. Investigating officers from the environmental - vice task force saw beer, wine and other alcohol inside the business.
