FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Memorial Middle School in Fair Lawn held a fundraising concert on Thursday, Jan. 14 to benefit high school sophomore Tim Yuskaitis, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
The concert was the collaborative idea of Memorial teachers including Janean Marxen, George Glock, Jamie Szeinberg and Justin Louie.
During the show, Memorial teachers Jen Patch, Gina Lazzaro, Lindsey DeBellis, Alison Sudol and Sue Murray volunteered to assist with the logistics of the event. Ryan Harrington accompanied the chorus on drums during the “Fight Song”.
Several Fair Lawn fire-fighters arrived in their turnout gear to show their support for the Yuskaitis family.
Funds were raised through ticket sales, donations and a bake sale hosted by the Fair Lawn Friends of Music and Memorial PTO.
