UPDATE: Union City police signed delinquency complaints against two boys, both 13, for arson, and against a 12-year-old boy and two girls, 12 & 11, for criminal trespass. Residents led police to the youths.

Police first suspected homeless people who use the building were responsible for the blaze, which broke out near the corner of 27th street just before 6:30 Saturday night.

However, area residents told them otherwise.

More than four dozen members of North Hudson Fire and Rescue kept the fire from spreading to area buildings.

Cars were moved from the immediate area after a city construction official said the building would have to be torn down, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.
