Glen Rock Police Charge Saddle Brook Trucker In Hit-Run Crash

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Glen Rock police tracked down a Saddle Brook trucking company driver who they said fled after hitting a vehicle stopped at a traffic light.

The trucker "backed up and fled the scene, passing over the double yellow line and driving on the wrong side of the street," police said.

The victim said he was stopped for a light at Maple Avenue and Harristown Road just after 2 p.m. last Tuesday when his car was struck from behind, Police Chief Glen Ackermann said.

The trucker then "backed up and fled the scene, passing over the double yellow line and driving on the wrong side of the street," he said.

The license plate came back to a Saddle Brook trucking company, where Officer Jim Donnelly and Detective Jim Calaski found 53-year-old Patrick C. Isidoro of Elmhurst, Queens, the chief said.

He was issued summonses for leaving the scene

of an accident, failing to report and accident and improper passing.
