Facebook, Instagram Issues Resolved After Widespread Outage: Meta

Facebook and Instagram users were locked out of their accounts Tuesday morning, March 5 in what appeared to have been a widespread outage.

Hundreds and thousands of both Facebook and Instagram users had reported problems on DownDetector as of 11 a.m.

The issue was resolved at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Meta spokesman Andy Stone addressed the outage on Twitter:
