Black Friday Bomb Threat Sends American Dream Shoppers Scrambling
A bomb threat briefly evacuated the American Dream mall in East Rutherford Friday morning, Nov. 24. The New Jersey State Police Bomb and K9 units responded to the mall around 7:15 a.m., performing sweeps for explosive devices as shoppers waited in the parking lots, officials said. The threat was later deemed unfounded and shoppers were allowed back inside at approximately 9:15 a.m., according to officials and footage shared to social media. Fair Lawn Native, 32, Killed In Route 208 Thanksgiving Day Crash
A 32-year-old driver from Fair Lawn was killed when his car struck a utility pole on Route 208 early Thanksgiving evening. William Hennecke was driving his 2002 Porsche Boxter convertible when it veered off the southbound highway and into a utility pole just past Maple Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, Fair Lawn police said. : Driver Arrested After Head-On Collision In Fair Lawn
A driver was led away in handcuffs following a head-on Thanksgiving Eve crash in Fair Lawn. Members of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps took two occupants to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's Wayne facility after the Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV collided at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Wagaraw Road around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22. A 29-year-old man left some personal items arranged neatly on a rock before jumping to his death Wednesday from the Palisades, authorities said. A third man who authorities said was involved in a terrifying string of armed robberies in Passaic County has been identified.
