A Hoboken restaurant is mourning the loss of one of its former bartenders who died on what loved ones say was a "dream trip" in Chile. Brian Kilduff, 27, of West Haverstraw, NY, died on Friday, Dec. 29, after becoming ill while in Chile, according to his obituary on the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home website. : Man Caught On Camera Abusing Friend's Dog At Mall In Paramus
A Rockland County man who was dog-sitting for a friend was caught on video punching, kicking and otherwise abusing the baby pit bull at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, authorities said. Joseph Caraccia, 39, of West Haverstraw, was caught thanks to a good Samaritan who called police to the parking lot of the mall on Tuesday, Oct. 1, Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti said. The caller "observed the abuser punching, kicking, and throwing the dog into a vehicle," the chief said. A teenager from Newark has admitted to stabbing two Rockland County men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said. Juwan Roman, 18, pleaded guilty on Thursday to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Roman's name was made public this week after he waived his right to juvenile status in Family Court.
