The incident occurred at 4 p.m. in the 100 block of Adams Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The suspects grabbed the woman by the arm and made her get into a blue Toyota Sienna where they threatened her and demanded money, Fragé said. Tracking Device Foils Hoboken Bank Robber A 24-year old man was arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Hoboken, after police were able to use a tracking device attached to his loot.  Hoboken police allege Jamil Deacon, a Hoboken resident, passed a note to bank tellers at the Santander Bank demanding $40,000 be handed to him and verbally threatened to shoot them if they did not comply. The suspect made off with $1,100, police said.  The money was equipped with a tracking device, allowing police to quickly track down Deacon at Second and Bloomfield Streets, where he was promptly apprehended, police said.  As…

Pedestrian Airlifted In Clark Crash A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a car in Clark Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 85-year-old resident was walking west on the sidewalk in front of Santander Bank when they were struck by a Jetta heading east on Raritan Road, Clark Police Det. Lt. Christian Lott said. The driver of the Jetta stayed on scene and is cooperating with police. The victim was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick with unknown injuries, police said.
