Rewards For Info Offered In Unsolved Newark Killings The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers program is offering rewards of up to $5,000 each for information on killings this year that claimed three lives in Newark.  On Sept. 14, two 30-year-old men, Jason Duffy and Hassan Ward, were shot and killed at the Oscar Miles housing complex. The killings occurred shortly before 3 p.m.  On Oct. 28, 27-year-old Avent Holston was fatally shot in the 300 block of West Kinney Street.
