Man Struck, Killed By Hoboken Bound Train In Newark A man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Newark Tuesday morning, authorities said. Service to the Morris and Essex line was operating on a 30-minute delay in both directions after the 7:45 a.m. incident west of the Broad Street Station, NJT spokeswoman Lisa Torbic said. The train left Montclair State University at 7:10 a.m., and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 8 a.m., Torbic said. New Jersey Transit Police and EMS were on scene. None of the approximately 20 passengers and crew were on board were injured. The NJTPD is leading the investigation.

Tractor Trailer, Train Collide In Morris County Service to the Morris and Essex line was suspended Thursday evening due to a crash involving an NJ Transit train and a tractor trailer. There were three crew members and no passengers on board when the train struck a disabled trailer on the tracks at a grade crossing just east of the Mt. Man Killed By Train In Millburn, Service Suspended On 2 Lines A man was killed when he was struck by a train near the Millburn station Friday morning, NJ Transit said.  The man, who was not identified, was hit by the 6610 on the Morris and Essex Line headed towards New York around 6:45 a.m. His identity was not immediately released. No one else was injured.  Service on the Morris and Essex and Gladstone lines remained suspended as of about 8:30 a.m. in both directions. Tickets were being cross-honored on NJ Transit buses and private carriers, the spokeswoman said.  Service resumed later Friday morning.
