Toms River Woman Admits To Killing Roommate With Shower Rod, Wooden Board: Prosecutors
A Toms River woman admitted to her role in the death of her roommate, a former Manchester High School janitor, authorities said. Mary Carbone, 60, pleaded guilty on Monday, July 8 to aggravated manslaughter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. She was previously indicted for murder in the death of 55-year-old Frank Stochel of Toms River. An Ocean County woman killed a former Manchester High School custodian she lived with using a shower rod and a tape dispenser, authorities charged. Mary Carbone, 56, was charged with murder in the slaying of 55-year-old Frank Stochel at a home they shared in Manchester, they said.
