Authorities ID Man Struck, Killed By Pickup Truck In Linden An 86-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup truck Saturday night in Linden. Robert Kern was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of W Baltimore Avenue near Hussa Street around 8 p.m., police said. Kern, of Linden, was treated at the scene and rushed to Newark University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man also from Linden, was not injured in the crash.
