Suspended Driver Arrested In Valentine's Day Nutley Hit-Run That Killed Paterson Man: Cops
An arrest has been made in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a 22-year-old Paterson man and injured another person. Dhkir Robinson, 42, is believed to have been behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Winston Perlaza and a second victim Wednesday evening, Feb. 14 on Milton Avenue in Nutley, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Nutley Police Chief Thomas Strumolo said. A college student from Burlington County who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Hawaii was cleared to make his big return home via medical chopper on Monday, Feb. 27. Christian DeCola, 19, of Maple Shade, was riding a moped for a food service delivery company when he was hit the night of Feb. 12, his mom, Valerie, tells 6abc. Funeral services have been said for a Rutgers University senior killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday, Feb. 16. Visitation for Max Spivak, 21, of Old Bridge, will be Monday, Feb. 20 at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, beginning at 4 p.m. Services appear to be private. Ford Driver Suffers Medical Emergency Following Morris County Crash: State Police
A Ford driver suffered a medical emergency following a crash on Route 287 in Morris County, state police said. A Ford Fusion was struck by a tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes near milepost 30.8 in Harding just after 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told DailyVoice.com. The tractor-trailer then left the scene, Curry said. The Ford driver was not hurt in the crash but suffered a brief medical emergency, police said. The driver refused treatment and drove away from the scene of the crash. Additional details were not released.

A 25-year-old Newark man riding a motor scooter was killed by a hit-and-run driver before dawn Monday, authorities confirmed. Mohammed Sani Razaku was struck by the driver of a Volkswagen GTI on McCarter Highway between Market Street & Raymond Boulevard in Newark just before 12:05 a.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Authorities ID Woman Killed In West Orange Hit-Run Crash
A 67-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash last month in Essex County. Maria F. Pastuizaca-Yauri was struck at the intersection of Brennan Drive and Mount Pleasant Avenue around 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 30, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and West Orange Police Chief James Abbott said. She was transported to University Hospital by ambulance and subsequently pronounced at 8:15 p.m. The investigation is active and ongoing.
