One Dead, Two Wounded In Newark Shooting One person was killed and two others hurt in a Newark shooting overnight, authorities said. Abdul Crowley, 23, was found with gunshot wounds on the 100 block of Mitchell Place around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Crowley was taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1:11 a.m. Two other shooting victims, a male and a female, were taken to the Center for treatment. A joint investigation involving detectives from Essex and Ocean counties resulted in the arrest of four drug-dealing suspects from Newark, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Essex County Man, 44, Arrested For Juvenile Sex Assault: Prosecutor A 44-year-old East Orange man was arrested for sexually assaulting a child, authorities said.  The victim told a family member immediately after the alleged assault by Abdul Crowley occurred on July 4, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said. DNA evidence was collected which ultimately led to the charges being issued against Crowley.     Crowley was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  …
