Seen HIM? Newark Man Accused Of Robbing Pregnant Woman

Police are looking for a 52-year-old Newark man suspected of trying to rip a gold chain off the neck of a pregnant woman last month.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Sharod Fields by Newark police.

The woman, who was seven months pregnant, was walking down the 400 block of Market Street around 11:30 a.m. May 8 with another woman and a child when a man approached them and tried to steal the chain. Both women struggled with the man, who punched the other woman in the face before fleeing the scene on foot.

Sharod Fields (pictured) has been identified as the suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
