Firefighters Battling West Orange Blaze

Firefighters including mutual aid from Orange were at the scene of a blaze in the 420 block of Valley Road around midday Friday, according to witness reports.

The fire is burning in the basement of FDR Auto Body, 429 Valley Road, a township spokesman said. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

One witness said firefighters were broadcasting instructions to flood the basement of the burning building around noon. The fire broke out around 11:30 a.m.

It was brought under control within about an hour.
