A steel plate prevented a potential tragedy at Urban Air in South Hackensack when a loaded gun brought into a photo booth by two boys -- one 12, the other 15 -- went off, authorities said. A 25-year-old Fairfield man was arrested and charged over the weekend after leading police on a 100 miles per hour pursuit, authorities said. Police originally attempted to stop Deyah Shaabneh on Wednesday, April 24, when officers saw his vehicle had a fake license plate, Fairfield police said. Firefighters quickly doused a blaze that found its way inside a Hasbrouck Heights home. Two people were hospitalized after being pinned against a Newark bar by a stolen car late Saturday, April 27, police said. A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in front of the Home Depot on Route 17 in Lodi before dawn on Sunday, authorities confirmed.
