A GoFundMe has been created for Miller, who is battling stage four uterine sarcoma and has been given a 10 percent chance of survival. In just three days, more than $218,000 has been raised, as of Friday, April 28.
Miller, a Livingston resident, is married to her husband Ian, and has two daughters, six-year-old Mia and two-year-old Ava.
"As bills pile up we are reaching out to our friends to financially assist in this horrifying process," Mitchell Burakovsky, who organized the fundraiser for his cousin, said.
"The stress of survival and the anticipation of the unthinkable as well as the fight to be able to raise their two children should be the only thing that Melissa and Ian need to worry about."
