Tufts Lacrosse Players Hospitalized After Navy SEAL Workout: NJ Docs Explain What Did It
A dozen of Tufts University's 50 lacrosse players were sidelined earlier this month with a muscle-destroying illness following a grueling workout led by a Navy SEAL, school officials said. As of press time three of the reigning NCAA Division III National Championship players remained in the hospital recovering from rhabdomyolysis, or, as it's more simply known, "rhabdo," Tufts officials said. Tufts Lacrosse Player From Hudson Valley Dies In Hot Dog Eating Contest
A college student from the Hudson Valley has died from injuries in a hot dog eating contest on Saturday, Oct. 16. Rockland County resident Madie Nicpon, a 2019 graduate of Suffern High School, was a junior at Tufts University in Massachusetts. She fell unconscious during an off-campus charity fundraiser and died at a Boston hospital the following day, WCVB, ABC 5 in Boston reports. Charlotte Benner, 86, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Yarmouth Port, MA, on Feb. 13 Charlotte was born in New York City on August 1, 1933, the “one and only” child of Charles Van Antwerp and Katherine Karcher Benner. She spent her formative years in Englewood, where she attended the Elisabeth Morrow and Dwight-Englewood schools.
