Final Snowfall Projection Map: Massive Storm Will Be Followed By Frigid Stretch As a massive cross-country storm barrels through the East Coast, much of the Northeast is bracing for a mix of snow and ice, followed by a prolonged stretch of bitter cold. The storm, which began overnight, will bring significant snowfall to parts of the region Monday, Jan. 6. New Snowfall Projection Map Released: These Areas In New Jersey Will See Most Accumulation A massive cross-country storm affecting a dozen states is nearing the East Coast, bringing new projections for precipitation timing and snowfall accumulation.  Some areas in the Northeast could see up to a foot of snow. Cold Front Coming With Snow Possible In Pre-Thanksgiving Storm, Forecasters Say Meteorologists have released a more detailed forecast of the storm systems heading to the East Coast in the days leading up to Thanksgiving (scroll down to see where snow is possible). Monday will be cloudy and -- if there's precipitation -- it will likely be light rain in New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service. High winds are expected with the coldest air of the season moving into the region in the evening, AccuWeather reports. Temperatures may feel as low as 20 degrees, AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jon Porter noted. Actual temperatures will be in the low 30s, he said.  …
