Delivery Driver Busted With Firearm In North Jersey Town, Police Say
A 24-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged in Westfield while delivering food for unlawfully possessing a firearm on Sunday, Sept. 15, authorities said. A license plate recognition camera picked up a 2008 black BMW 328i bearing a New York registration entering Westfield, Westfield police said in a release. The vehicle was involved in a shooting that occurred in Jersey City a day before and was believed to be armed, police said. A cashier at a Sunoco station has been arrested for taking multiple upskirt photos of women while at work over the course of nearly two years, authorities in Somerset County said. Miguel A. A 31-year-old West New York man was arrested after threatening to shoot a group of people walking through a Hoboken parking deck and then police — even though he didn't have a gun, police said. The group of men told police they were walking to a lot on 700 1st St., when a man later identified as Harrison Vargas approached them and began yelling around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, March 4, Hoboken Police Detective Lt. Prosecutor: Two Charged In Parsippany Man's Killing Captured In California
Two men charged with killing a Parsippany man were captured after fleeing to California, authorities said Friday. The body of Jaime Lopez-Basilio was found in an Old Bloomfield Avenue home this past Sept. 9. Investigators determined that Rogelio Laureano-Gonzalez, 25, of Parsippany, killed him with a blow to the head, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said in a joint release Friday with local police. Laureano-Gonzalez and Cirilo Rojas-Paulino, also of Parsippany, fled to California but were tracked down, Knapp said.
