Ford Recalls Over 450K Of Some Of Its Most Popular Models Over Safety Concerns
Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report on Friday, April 12, saying sensors in the car could fail to notice a change in the battery's power. If the power drops too low, the vehicle could turn off or lose important components such as hazard lights if the car breaks down. The Broncos were produced from February 2020 until March 2024. Ford Recalling 1.2M Vehicles For Faulty Brake Concerns
More than a million popular Ford models are subject to a recall due to safety concerns about front break hoses that could potentially leak fluid. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall notice for 1.2 million Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles that were produced between 2013 and 2018 due to the condition. According to officials, the fluid leak could cause the brake to require additional time to properly stop the vehicle, which increases the possible risk of a crash or injury. It is estimated that approximately 2 percent of the vehicles produced during t…

BMW's Self-Closing Door Severed Area Man’s Thumb, Lawsuit Says
A systems engineer from the tristate area is suing BMW for $13.5 million after he said the self-closing door of his car severed his right thumb. Godwin Boateng of Valley Stream on Long Island said the $70,000 BMW SUV does not have a sensor to detect whether there's a body part or an object in the path of the door. The 62-year-old's attorney, Avi Cohen, described the BMW X5’s door as nothing short of “a guillotine," according to this New York Post report. According to a federal lawsuit, Boateng was standing outside the X5 in July 2016 when he placed his hand on the driver’s door column…

Ford Issues Massive Recall Due To Loose Steering Wheels
Ford is recalling more than 1.4 million vehicles after reports that the steering wheel can become loose and even come off while driving on two of its models. The recall involves some Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZs from 2014 through 2018. Ford said it is aware of two accidents and one injury that may have been caused by the problem. Officials with the automotive company said that the bolts that hold the steering wheel to the steering column can become loose over time. There have been two crashes and one injury because of the issue. The recall applies to every version of the Fusion: Fusion…
