ENGLEWOOD, N.J.– Registration for boys and girls youth hockey in Englewood is underway in person or online.
The league is open to both residents and non-residents ages 4 to 14. Cost is $600 residents; $900 non-residents. Non-residents can register after Aug. 15
The league runs Oct. 30 through March 15 and practices are Wednesdays 6 to 7 p.m. or 7 to 8 p.m. Games take place on Sundays 8 to 9 a.m. or 9 to 10 a.m.
Participants will be divided by age and skill, and practice and game schedules will be provided after assessment.
Participants without previous experience must enroll in "learn to skate" and "learn to play" programs prior to joining the house league
Scholarships are available for residents eligible for reduced/free lunch.
Goalies and volunteer parents are needed for on-ice participation
The games take place: Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 18, Jan. 8, January 15, Jan. 29, Feb. 5, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 5, March 12 and March 19
Practices: Nov. 2, Nov. 9, Nov. 16, Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Dec. 14, Dec. 21, Jan. 4, Jan. 11, Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 8, Feb. 15, March 1, March 8, March 15
Full equipment is mandatory, including mouthpiece, helmet, full face mask, shoulder pads, elbow guards, gloves, supporter and comp, shin guards, hockey pants, hockey stick and hockey skates.
Limited loaner equipment available; priority given to scholarship participants.
Team jerseys are provided and payment plans are available.
