TENAFLY, N.J. – An employee at a Tenafly synagogue surrendered to police who charged her with using a stolen credit card throughout Bergen County 29 times.
Sophia Deutsch, 19, of Teaneck also took $300 in cash from several co-workers at the Lubavtich on the Palisades on Harold Street, Capt. Michael deMoncada said.
In the days following the thefts, Deutsch rang up $780 in charges around the county, deMoncada said.
She was released pending a court hearing on theft and credit card fraud charges.
