An accused dealer of crack cocaine who worked for a doctor's office allegedly stole and forged blank prescriptions in Ocean County, authorities said. On Friday July 14, the Brick Township Street Crimes Unit made a warranted search at a residence in Berkeley Township, police said. Detectives were investigating Candace Colbert, 60, from Berkeley Township, who was suspected of stealing RX prescription blanks from a doctor’s office where she was employed in Brick Township, police said. A convicted hooker with a heart of coal and her longtime running mate were both captured after authorities said they lured a man to a Wayne motel and then robbed him at gunpoint. A 57-year-old art teacher was charged with drug-related crimes after authorities in Union County said he overdosed in a classroom. Frank Thompson was found unresponsive on the floor of a second-floor classroom at Roosevelt Intermediate School around 9:05 a.m. Nov. 29, 2022, Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro said. A convicted child molester from Paterson was the gunman who shot and killed an out-of-county man behind the city public library last week, authorities said. Ex-con Jaquan Housey, 33, was charged with murder and weapons offenses in the slaying of Rodney Phelps, 39, of Warren County’s Washington Township.
