Man Charged With Assaulting Police Officer In Bridgeton A 39-year-old man from Bridgeton was charged with assaulting a police officer, authorities said. Shortly after noon on Wednesday, Jan. 31, Bridgeton police responded 179 N. Pearl St, Dino Mart for a fight. Police found a victim and a suspect, identified as Rolfi Rodriguez-Perez. The suspect was told to leave but returned several times, police said. He ultimately kicked a police officer, they said. Rodriguez-Perez was charged with resisting arrest, hindering apprehension and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, police said.

On Sunday, Sept. 3, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Bridgeton police responded to Mount Vernon Street on for a report of a gunshot victim, Bridgeton police said.
