The family of Desiree Milow, the driver who was killed when her vehicle overturned and struck five others in Jersey City on Memorial Day Weekend, is seeing support from the community. A fundraiser has been created to assist with funeral expenses and to help Milow's children in the aftermath of her death. A 36-year-old Jersey City woman struck five vehicles in her Chevy Tahoe before her vehicle came to a stop, and her lifeless body was found behind the wheel, authorities said. : Man, 28 Shot Dead On Jersey City Street
A 28-year-old father was shot and killed on a Jersey City sidewalk Friday night, authorities said. Rashawn Bethea was gunned down around 11:30 p.m. in front of a home on Wegman Parkway, up the street from near Audubon Park in the city's Greenville section, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to the torso 15 minutes later, responders said. : Firefighter Injured As Blaze Rips Through Three Jersey City Homes
A Jersey City firefighter was hospitalized but no other injuries were reported in a five-alarm blaze that ripped through three homes just before dawn Tuesday, authorities said. The fire broke out in one home on Wegman Parkway near Ocean Avenue and then spread to two others, Councilman Daniel Rivera said.
