: Paramus Police Nab Thieving Trio With $12,800 Worth Of Loot At Garden State Plaza
A trio of thieving New Yorkers were in the middle of a big-ticket crime spree at the Garden State Plaza -- snatching nearly 200 items worth more than $12,800 in under an hour and a half -- when Paramus police nabbed them, authorities said. Police caught their break when the three stole a cellphone and a wallet from a pair of kiosk workers shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 12, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. A Nigerian woman whose video footage of a woman lunging at her then having a mental breakdown in a New Jersey Victoria's Secret store has raised $92,000 following the incident. A repeat Peeping Tom from Bergenfield was caught peering into the windows of Paramus residents, authorities said. Officer Gil Maynard initially found Jason S. Honickman, 41, walking through a residential neighborhood after a Reid Way resident called to report a suspicious man dressed in dark clothing shortly before midnight May 29, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. Home goods retailer Tuesday Morning is the latest national outlet to seek bankruptcy protection, company officials said. Tuesday Morning's closing is a result of the "immense strain of the COVID-19 pandemic," the Dallas-based retail chain said in a statement. At least seven Tuesday Morning stores in New Jersey will close as a result of the bankruptcy. Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Permanently Closing Stores Nationwide
Victoria’s Secret will permanently close about 250 stores in the U.S. and Canada this year, parent company L Brands announced. Ohio-based L Brands did not detail the closure locations, but there are 42 Victoria's Secret stores in New Jersey and 1,000 nationwide. More than a dozen stores at Westfield's Garden State Plaza in Paramus will begin offering curbside pickup as nonessential businesses in New Jersey begin their reopening.
