Man Shot Multiple Times Outside Paterson Home Where Retired NY Giants Player Grew Up
A Paterson man was shot several times outside the former home of retired New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz, authorities said. Police found the unidentified 38-year-old victim shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday on the corner of East 18th Street and 11th Avenue, an intersection that also includes a cut-rate liquor store and check-cashing service. Mentor. Father figure. Life coach. This is how Paterson's Eastside High School principal Gerald Glisson was being remembered after dying of coronavirus Sunday. Glisson, who has been the school principal for the last three years, had been hospitalized in the last week. He died after testing positive for the virus and was in his 40s. Former Football Star Charged In Elmwood Park Cellphone Robbery -- After Returning To Store
UPDATE: Once considered one of the top high school football prospects in the country, a now-34-year-old Paterson man was charged with Friday's strong-armed robbery of cellphones from an Elmwood Park Verizon store. Chenry Lewis was arrested Saturday after he returned to the Route 46 store, Police Chief Michael Foligno said. Then he smiled for his mugshot.
