Man, 18, Woman, 22, Lied About Accidental Shooting In Bergen County: Prosecutor
An 18-year-old Bergen County man who accidentally shot himself and a 22-year-old woman who went along with his story that he'd been involved in a drive-by shooting are both facing charges. Damien I. Flores was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a gunshot wound on Friday, July 26, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Flores told police that he'd been struck by gunfire during a drive-by shooting near Belmont Park in Garfield, according to Musella.
