Fentanyl Trafficking Network Dismantled In Pre-Dawn NJ Bust: Prosecutor
A fentanyl trafficking network was dismantled by authorities who seized nearly a quarter-pound of the highly-lethal drug, two handguns and several thousand dollars in suspected drug money, the Union County Prosecutor's Office announced. The three-month investigation concluded before dawn on June 20 with the execution of search warrants across Phillipsburg, Middlesex Borough and in homes on Charles and Hussa streets in Linden, according to Assistant Prosecutors Peter DeRose and Megan Tomlinson, who are prosecuting the case. Wife Of Jersey City Fire Captain Dies After Cancer Battle, 42
Support is surging for a Jersey City fire captain mourning the loss of his wife, who died after a colon cancer battle. Heidy Jimenez Farrell died at home in Roselle Park on Nov. 15, her obituary says. She was 42 years old. Heidy was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and came to the US in 1990. The Roselle Park Police Department this year vowed to raised money for the family through No Shave November efforts. She had been battling liver and colon cancer since February. Roselle Park Police Mourn Off-Duty Officer Who Authorities Said Shot Himself Dead In SUV Crash
The Roselle Park Police Department is mourning an officer who authorities said was off duty when he shot and killed himself after his car crashed into a pair of parked vehicles Sunday in Matawan. Edward Nortrup, 39, was behind the wheel of his SUV when it partially rolled over after crashing near a two-story home on Broad Street across from the borough's municipal center, trapping him, around noon, authorities said Monday.
