Five Morris County Corrections officers admitted using and sharing drugs including cocaine -- keeping them from ever getting a job in public employment ever again. Corrections officers Dominick Andico, 33, Albert Wyman IV, 36, Robert Busold, 27, Brian T. A Hackensack driver carrying a variety of illegal drugs raced along Route 17, cutting across three lanes several times, before surrendering to a pursuing Carlstadt police officer in Moonachie, authorities said. Officer Matthew Bartlett tried pulling over the Honda Civic after driver Shavar Ingram, 34, improperly passed two vehicles and made an illegal left turn onto Paterson Avenue from Enoch Street, Police Chief Thomas Berta said. A passenger who drew a police sergeant’s attention by flicking cigar ashes out an SUV’s window contributed to the discovery of a loaded, stolen handgun and $1,665 in suspected drug proceeds, authorities said. An ex-con who was once accused of shooting at an off-duty Paterson police officer was carrying a loaded gun and a variety of drugs when he was chased down on New Year’s Day, authorities said. A Boonton mom was charged after admitting she gave unprescribed drugs to her daughter, who was found dead next to a bottle of medication, documents show. Police responding to a report of a deceased child Monday night found Shay Mooney's 11-year-old daughter Wade Richardson unresponsive, ABC7 reports. It’s more than an hour and a half drive to Paterson from the homes of a Pennsylvania trio whom Franklin Lakes police said they caught with heroin, Oxycodone and hypodermic needles during a traffic stop. Officer David Blum pulled their car over on Route 208 just after 12:30 a.m. Monday, Capt. John Bakelaar said. A group of New Milford police officers rescued a 51-year-old borough woman who’d overdosed in her locked SUV. An officer broke the window so he and his colleagues could get to the victim in a rear River Road parking lot late Friday afternoon, Detective Lt. Kevin Van Saders said. They immediately administered CPR and then Narcan, which brought her around, he said. The woman -- who told police she'd taken oxycodone -- was taken to Holy Name Medical Center by a hospital ambulance, Van Saders said. The heroes: Capt. Kevin Kiene, Lt. Bergen Prosecutor: Westchester Couple Busted Selling Ecstasy To Undercover Detectives
A Westchester couple sold Ecstasy to undercover Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives who busted them, authorities said Friday. Daniel Velasquez, a 32-year-old furniture distribution supervisor, and Kayla Grace Raffaele, 18, both of New Rochelle, became targets in June after detectives received a tip, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. On July 25, Velasquez sold 25 Ecstasy pills to an undercover investigator in Paramus, Calo said.
