North Jersey Firefighter Jordan Darley Dies Suddenly Leaving Behind Wife, New Baby
Support was surging for the wife and child of Passaic firefighter Jordan Darley who died suddenly in November 2022.
Darley, 40, died on Nov. 12 after going into cardiac arrest, according to a GoFundMe page launched for his wife, Lucia, and baby, Jordan.
The Bloomfield resident owned his own HVAC company in Nutley, and was proud to have become a firefighter, accomplishing a lifelong dream, his obituary says.

A serial burglar wanted on warrants out of no fewer than eight towns in four counties was captured by Maywood police and charged with a break-in at a local dry cleaner.
Nicolas G. Torres, 40, of Passaic, has been repeatedly arrested and then subsequently released under New Jersey’s 2017 bail reform law, mostly on commercial burglary charges, over the past several years, records show.

A Powerball ticket good for $150,000 was sold at a North Jersey 7-Eleven.
The ticket from the Wednesday, July 20 drawing was sold at 7-Eleven #36882, 203 Darling Ave., in Nutley.
While the ticket initially won the $50,000 third-tier prize, it was purchased with the Power Play option, multiplying the prize to $150,000.
