Motorcyclist Hospitalized In Ridgewood Crash
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a garbage truck in Ridgewood. The collision occurred at the corner of North Monroe Street and dead-ended Woodfield Court around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29. Members of the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps took the motorcyclist to Hackensack University Medical Center. The extent of his injuries couldn't immediately be determined. A driver was hospitalized after two sedans crashed head-on into one another on Friday in Ridgewood. A BMW and a Honda collided at the intersection of West Ridgewood Avenue and North Monroe Street across from the West Side Presbyterian Church shortly before 11:30 a.m. The impact sent the Honda into a retaining wall at the Woman's Club of Ridgewood. : Ridgewood Firefighters Rescue Construction Worker Who Fell 20 Feet Into Basement
Firefighters rescued a worker who fell 20 or so feet off a ladder Monday morning into the basement of a new home under construction in Ridgewood. Rescuers brought a Stokes basket and ropes along after the 10:30 a.m. mishap on North Monroe Street. After they got him out through a window well, the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps rushed the 28-year-old worker to the trauma unit at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Ridgewood Bus Crash Sends One To Hospital
An out-of-service NJ Transit bus collided with an SUV in Ridgewood before dawn Friday. The Subaru Forester driver was taken to The Valley Hospital with what responders said were injuries that weren’t life-threatening after the crash at the corner of West Glen Avenue and North Monroe Street. The bus driver refused medical treatment. A tow truck removed the heavily-damaged compact SUV. Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS responded. Firefighters cleaned up a significant fuel spill. The adult female driver of a Buick sedan was transported to The Valley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after her car plowed into a tree in Ridgewood Wednesday afternoon. RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Two pedestrians sustained what appeared to be minor injuries when they were struck by a car Monday night in Ridgewood.
