Hundreds of flights were cancelled and delayed Monday, June 26, due to stormy weather at Newark Liberty Airport, leaving travelers seething. The family of a Newark Liberty Airport worker who was struck by an airplane propeller and killed has filed a lawsuit saying an absentee spotter and failed safety provisions are to blame for her death. Hallucinating Passenger Leads To Bomb Scare On Newark Bound Flight, Pilot Says
A passenger having a medical emergency on a Newark Liberty Airport-bound flight claimed there was a bomb on board, bringing emergency vehicles to the tarmac after the plane landed, reports say. The passenger was on flight 2304 from Los Angeles, which landed safely just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday, ABC7 reports. The pilot in an announcement to passengers said the person was hallucinating when the remark was made. The passenger was taken to a local hospital and all bags were removed from the plane and inspected on the tarmac.

People at Newark Liberty Airport may have been exposed to the measles last month by a passenger from Israel who continued traveling to Rockland County, New York, state health officials said. The passenger from Tel Aviv, Israel arrived at Terminal B and may have visited other parts of the airport between 5:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, the New Jersey Health Department said.
