UPDATE (Dec. 9, 2022): A 19-year-old man already accused of repeatedly raping a minor at the Jersey Shore and in New York State also stalked a female Ramapo College student, authorities charged. Jon Pelcin, of Monroe, NY, followed the sophomore around the Mahwah campus "on multiple occasions," Township Detective Lt. Kevin Hebert wrote. Sheriff: Body Of Missing Mahwah Man Found
UPDATE (Saturday, Nov. 19): The search for a missing Mahwah man ended with the discovery of his body deep into one of the area's largest parks, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton confirmed. A hiker discovered the body of Hector Zamorano, 41, off the yellow trail at the Ramapo Valley Reservation around noontime Saturday, Nov. 19, said the sheriff, whose department is handling the investigation. An early morning fire severely damaged an Upper Saddle River home near the New York State border on Friday. The fire broke out in the garage of the home on Rambling Brook Road in the northwest section of town -- barely 300 yards from the Rockland County line -- shortly before 6:30 a.m. Nov. 18, Police Detective Capt.
