Irvington Native, Fugees Member Pras Charged In Obama Donation Scheme One of the founders of the hip-hip group The Fugees was indicted for allegedly assisting in a scheme to funnel illegal foreign donations to the Obama presidential campaign in 2012, The Guardian reported. Prakazrel Michel, 46, known as Pras, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and related charges stemming from the scheme, in which a Malaysian businessman, 37-year-old Jho Low, tried to funnel nearly $22 million to Obama’s campaign.
