Four teenagers were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 12 and charged for their participation in an auto theft trafficking network in North Jersey, authorities said. Two juveniles, a 16-year-old Newark resident and a 17-year-old Jersey City resident would use stolen Kias, Hondas and Hyundais to look for high-end luxury vehicles like BMWs and Mercedes, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said. An unlicensed Kearny driver was released after Lyndhurst police said they found him blacked out behind the wheel with cocaine in the car and empty heroin folds in his pocket. Driver Seriously Injured In Route 23 Crash:

A driver was seriously injured in a crash on Route 23, State Police said. The victim was headed south in a Kia SUV that sideswiped a Hyundai sedan coming in the opposite direction, then careened off the road and into a trailer in Wantage around noon Thursday, May 9, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The Kia driver was taken to an area hospital, the sergeant said. No other injuries were reported. New Jersey State Police are investigating.
