Mother, Son Seriously Injured Escaping Cliffside Park Fire: Report A woman and man were hospitalized with severe burns after escaping a fire that broke out in their Cliffside Park home on Monday night, Dec. 16, ABC7 reports. The fire broke out around 6:21 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, inside a home on Lawton Avenue, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Police, firefighters, and mutual aid crews from surrounding areas rushed to the scene. First responders found two residents, a 58-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, outside the burning home with serious injuries, Musella said. Both were able to escape before crews arrived. Pre-Dawn Thanksgiving Blaze Damages Hillsdale Home Firefighters doused a pre-dawn Thanksgiving Day blaze in a Hillsdale home. The fire broke out just after 2 a.m. in the second-floor bedroom of the Lincoln Avenue home and quickly went to two alarms, borough fire officials said. All of the occupants got out OK, they said. The fire was contained to the bedroom and declared under control around 3 a.m., less than an hour after the call came in, fire officials said. Mutual aid was provided by firefighters from Park Ridge, River Vale, Westwood and Woodcliff Lake.
