A fleeing drug dealer hit a DEA agent with his car and tossed a bag filled with 7,500 heroin folds out the window during what became a high-speed chase from Pennsylvania to Mercer County, authorities said. Law enforcement officers from various agencies followed ex-con Daevon Bell, 26, of Hamilton Township from Trenton to an apartment complex in Morrisville, PA, on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said. Father Of NJ Police Officer Who Died In 2011 Motorcycle Crash Killed The Same Way, 63
A 63-year-old motorcyclist from Burlington County was killed in a Route 31 collision with a school bus over the weekend -- just more than nine years after his son died in a motorcycle crash. Alex Harvilla, of Chesterfield, was heading southbound on a Honda motorcycle when he struck an eastbound Freightliner school bus near milepost 15 around 3:20 p.m. Sunday, NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez said. They flooded Mercer County by the dozens, hailing from New York City, Long Island and Westchester County, armed with bogus debit cards. They nearly returned home with more than $250,000 stolen from Santander Bank ATMs across New Jersey. Police in a half dozen counties were able to stop 58 of them since Tuesday -- and seize more than a dozen suspect vehicles, a handgun and drugs, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Cellphone video captured a DEA raid involving a Passaic man who federal authorities said had more than 13 pounds of cocaine -- part of a much larger drug haul seized in two other locations. Ramon “Rafael” Fabian-Pena, 59, and two accused accomplices from Trenton were taken into custody by DEA agents during the raids, authorities said.
