Wayne Native Paul Bijelonic 'Kind, Honorable' Dies Suddenly
Kind. Honorable. Caring. This is how Wayne and Paterson native Pavle "Paul" Bijelonic was remembered by his loved ones. He died suddenly July 9 in North Palm Beach, Fla., at 46 years old. Paul was born and raised in Paterson and was one of three sons to Novak and Milenka Bijelonic. He spent his formative years with his family in Paterson, then as a teenager, his family moved to Wayne in 1986. Bergen Town Center Construction Paves Way For New Stores, Restaurants
The Bergen Town Center is about to get even bigger. The 61-year-old Paramus mall will soon boast several new retailers, restaurants and even more parking. A new report in NorthJersey.com said shoppers can expect a Burlington discount department store, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Express clothing store and a two-level parking structure. The department store will be located in the 50,000-square-foot space on the mall's third level, above Marshall's and Saks Fifth Avenue. Flying out of Newark Airport is about to get easier -- and more beautiful. Grimshaw Architects announced it will begin the $1.4 billion construction project on Terminal One in April. Terminal One will be a one million-square-foot LEED silver flexible, 33-gate common-use terminal building. It will be two stories and T-shaped, with a central head house and a single concourse. Mahwah's Ramapo Valley Road/Route 202 Culvert Reopens
MAHWAH, N.J. -- The Ramapo Valley Road/Route 202 culvert in Mahwah officially reopened to traffic Saturday afternoon. The original date set for re-opening Ramapo Valley Road over the Darlington Brook after the project began in July was established as the end of October but various factors -- including significant utility relocation delays -- pushed the date forward.
