The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has released footage from body-worn cameras related to a non-fatal police shooting that happened last August and involved a stolen Porsche. A 19-year-old reputed Newark street gang member wanted for shooting three rivals with a modified machine gun last weekend is in federal custody. Munir “Mu” Muhammad was carrying the converted 9mm handgun when he was arrested on Wednesday, April 12, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said. Authorities ID Driver Killed In Newark Crash With NJ Transit Bus
A 33-year-old woman died and several others were injured in a crash between a vehicle and NJ Transit bus early Tuesday in Newark, authorities said. The Bloomfield-bound bus was struck head-on by a westbound 2007 Chevy Impala while going east on Hawthorne Avenue near Clinton Place around 5:30 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. Paige N. Victim In Tuesday's Fatal Newark Shooting Is South Orange Man, 22
The victim in the second deadly shooting to occur in Newark within 24 hours earlier this week has been identified as a 22-year-old South Orange man. Sabor A. Townes was gunned down at 80 Clinton Place Tuesday night, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said, There did not appear to be a connection with the shooting the previous night that left 49-year-old Hassan Webb dead. 3 Shot, One Killed, In Second Straight Night Of Deadly Violence In Newark
One person is dead and two others injured in a shooting in Newark Tuesday night, police said. The victims, identified only as males, were shot on Clinton Place. One of the wounded was reportedly in critical condition, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said. Ambrose referred additional inquiries to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. The shooting comes on the heels of a pair of shootings Monday night that left one person dead and wounded four others . Those shootings occurred on South 8th Street and were also under investigation by the prosecutor's office.
